During the Opening Plenary Session, after the institutional greetings, four internationally renowned keynote speakers launch the four “Challenges” corresponding to the four macro-themes of the conference. These are the fundamental issues which  Architecture and Urban Morphology of the near future will have to face. These are, not by chance, the themes around which the entire conference will take place.

The task of each Keynote speaker is therefore to discuss the macro-theme and launch the Challenge, that is to open different levels of reflection around that topic, stimulating the participant feed-back.

U+D PRIZE 
Prize for the best Italian PhD Thesis in Morphology and Urban Design

The first edition of the U+D Prize will be launched during the ISUFItaly 2022 Conference.

The prize is open to all Italian PhD theses dedicated to the themes of Urban Morphology, both as an important moment of analysis of the city and its urban fabric, and as an essential foundation of architectural and urban design.

U+D Urban Form and Design is the Italian scientific journal dedicated to the themes of Urban Morphology. Founded in 2014, it is now a Class A scientific journal of recognized international prestige.

In fact, the U+D PRIZE was born, coinciding with the conferences of the scientific society IsufItaly, with the will to enhance the best Italian PhD theses around the themes of Urban Morphology and Design.

Premio per la migliore Tesi di Dottorato italiana in Morfologia e Progetto Urbano

All'interno del Convegno ISUFItaly 2022 è previso anche il lancio della prima edizione U+D Prize.
Il premio è rivolto a tutte le Tesi di Dottorato italiane dedicate ai temi della Morfologia Urbana, sia come importante momento di Analisi della città e dei suoi tessuti, sia come fondamento imprescindibile del Progetto architettonico e urbano.

U+D Urban Form and Design è la rivista scientifica italiana dedicata ai temi della Morfologia Urbana. Fondata nel 2014 è oggi una rivista scientifica in Classe A di riconosciuto prestigio internazionale.

L’U+D PRIZE nasce infatti, in coincidenza con i convegni della società scientifica IsufItaly, con la volontà di valorizzare le migliori tesi di dottorato di ricerca italiane intorno ai temi della Morfologia Urbana e del Progetto.

Participants are requested to complete their conference registration paying the fee by May 10th, 2022.

Proposals will take the form of abstracts of papers. They will be prepared in the following format: title of paper, author(s) name, affiliation, address, e-mail address, telephone number, keywords and 250-word abstract.The abstract submission should be done by creating an account on our conference website (which will be available by 30 November 2021): http://conference.isufitaly.com/index.php/Bologna2022/NewStrategies/login

Abstracts of papers must be received on or before 23rd March 2022. Notification of whether abstracts have been accepted will be provided by 30th April 2022.To have their papers included in the conference programme, those whose abstracts have been accepted will be required to pay registration fee € 270 in-person mode (for the other authors the registration fee is €150) or € 150 online mode by 10th May 2022. The fee for PhD candidates is reduced to € 150 by 10thMay 2022. The registration fee includes during the conference: Coffee breaks, Lunch, proceedings and also 12 months’ membership of ISUFitaly.Following acceptance of abstracts, submitted papers will not exceed 4000 words. ISUFitaly, International Seminar on Urban Form, Italian Network, organizes its sixth Conference in Bologna on 08-10 June 2022. The theme is Morphology and Urban Design. New strategies for a changing society. Maintaining a coherence with previous conferences, the sixth ISUF Italy meeting also focuses attention on the new issues with which urban morphology relates today in dialogue with urban and social transformations. The topics of urban continuity and congruent transformations are therefore proposed.The organizers and the Council of ISUFitaly invite all interested academics and professionals to parecipate to the Conference. PhD students who have completed or are completing their research degree are also invited to take part.
