CLOSING PLENARY SESSION |
|
| The Closing Plenary Session is conceived as a large round table discussion. It should, on the one hand, present conclusions about the issues addressed during the conference, and on the other hand, open up to the future of the already mentioned disciplinary renewal, relaunching themes and tasks of a research path, just beginning, but which we believe is indispensable. OPENING PLENARY SESSION |

During the Opening Plenary Session, after the institutional greetings, four internationally renowned keynote speakers launch the four “Challenges” corresponding to the four macro-themes of the conference. These are the fundamental issues which Architecture and Urban Morphology of the near future will have to face. These are, not by chance, the themes around which the entire conference will take place. The task of each Keynote speaker is therefore to discuss the macro-theme and launch the Challenge, that is to open different levels of reflection around that topic, stimulating the participant feed-back. |

ISUFitaly, International Seminar on Urban Form, Italian Network, organizes its sixth Conference in Bologna on 08-10 June 2022.
The theme is Morphology and Urban Design. New strategies for a changing society. Maintaining a coherence with previous conferences, the sixth ISUF Italy meeting also focuses attention on the new issues with which urban morphology relates today in dialogue with urban and social transformations.
The topics of urban continuity and congruent transformations are therefore proposed. The organizers and the Council of ISUFitaly invite all interested academics and professionals to parecipate to the Conference. PhD students who have completed or are completing their research degree are also invited to take part. A number of excursions in the city and the region will be featured.
Topics on which proposals are particularly welcome include:
- Communities and Governance
- New methods and Technologies for the urban analysis
- Reading the changing Urban Form
- Designing a sustainable Urban Form
Proposals will take the form of abstracts of papers. They will be prepared in the following format: title of paper, author(s) name, affiliation, address, e-mail address, telephone number, keywords and 250-word abstract.
They should be emailed through the following website (which will be available by 22th November 2021): www.isufitaly.com
Abstracts of papers must be received on or before 23rd March 2022.
Notification of whether abstracts have been accepted will be provided by 3rd April 2022.
To have their papers included in the conference programme, those whose abstracts have been accepted will be required to pay registration fee € 270 in-person mode or € 150 online mode by 15th April 2022. The fee for PhD candidates is reduced to € 150 by 15th April 2022. The registration fee includes during the conference: Coffee breaks, Lunch, proceedings and also 12 months’ membership of ISUFitaly.
Following acceptance of abstracts, submitted papers will not exceed 4000 words.
They should be received through the following website (which will be available by 10th October 2022): http://conference.isufitaly.com/index.php/Bologna2022/.
Authors should consult the Notes for the Guidance of Contributors to Urban Morphology, available on the ISUF website (www.urbanform.org) or in recent copies of the journal, before preparing their papers. All papers will be published after the conference.
The official conference language is English.
