| Submitted papers must be original and not under consideration by any other journal. They should be in English and should preferably not exceed 4000 words with an English abstract in less than 200 words and up to five keywords. Papers should be formatted in Adobe Indesign following the template provided. Papers should be in a single-column format with double spacing and wide margins. Authors should not attempt to reproduce the journal’s page layout. Spelling follows The concise Oxford dictionary. All measurements should be expressed in the metric system. Authors alone are responsible for securing any necessary copyright permissions to reproduce illustrations, extensive quotations etc. References These should be placed at the end of the paper. Authors must use the Harvard system of giving references, in which authors’ names (no initials)and dates are given in the body of the text B for example (Biddle and Hill, 1971) B and the references are listed alphabetically at the end of the paper, under the heading ‘References’, in the following form: Biddle, M. and Hill, D. Conference Venue |

The conference will be held in Palazzo Mattei di Giove, at the headquarters of the Centro Studi Americani, in via Michelangelo Caetani 32. The palace is part of the so-called “Insula Mattei” (between Via Caetani, Via delle Botteghe Oscure, Piazza and Via Paganica, Piazza Mattei and Via dei Funari) together with the other palaces of Giacomo Mattei, Mattei di Paganica and Alessandro Mattei. It was built by Asdrubale Mattei, Duke of Monte Giove in place of some demolished family houses. The works began in 1598 on a project by Carlo Maderno and ended in 1617. The first courtyard, designed by Maderno to contain the collection of ancient marbles of the Duke, has the walls entirely covered with ancient fragments of various nature. The halls contain important decorations made by artists as Lanfranco, Dominichino, Albani, Pietro da Cortona. Giacomo Leopardi lived in the palace between 1822 and 1823. Since 1938 the building is owned by the State and currently houses the Italian Center for American Studies, the Library and the Institute of Modern and Contemporary History.    |

ISUFitaly, International Seminar on Urban Form, Italian Network, organizes its fifth Conference in Rome on 19-22 February 2020. The theme of the conference is Urban Substrata & City Regeneration. Morphological legacies and design tools. Following the previous ISUFitaly conferences themes, dealing mainly with the relationships between urban morphology, history and architectural design, the fifth Conference aims to pose the problem of pre-existing transformations in urban form considered as underlying the shape of the current city. The topics of urban continuity and congruent transformations are therefore proposed. The organizers and the Council of ISUFitaly invite all interested academics and professionals to parecipate to the Conference. PhD students who have completed or are completing their research degree are also invited to take part. A number of excursions in the city and the region will be featured. |
